SHAH GAS EXPANSION (SGE) PROJECT - ADNOC – ABU DHABI -

November 2024

BK STRUTTURE IS TO COOPERATE WITH SAIPEM FANO FOR FEED ENGINEERING ACTIVITIES AND BIDDING OFFER FOR SHAH GAS EXPANSION (SGE) PROJECT- ADNOC – ABU DHABI

Confirming the partnership and close cooperation with SAIPEM FANO SPA, BK STRUTTURE is going to cooperate for civil and structural engineering activities for per SHAH GAS EXPANSION (SGE) PROJECT- ADNOC – ABU DHABI.

The planned activities concern the verification of the FEED documentation, with the need for pre-sizing before proceeding with the estimates of the civil quantities, the preparation of any clarification Technical Queries to be sent to the Customer following the verification of the FEED documentation, the verification of the "clarifications" that will arrive from the Customer, the development of the civil BoQ with the preparation of a register of any assumptions and main data used for the development of the estimate. Activities will be performed for about 6 months.

The Abu Dhabi Gas Development Company Ltd (ADNOC Sour Gas, a joint venture between ADNOC and OXY, hereafter referred to as COMPANY) owns and operates the Shah Gas Processing Plant (SGP) which receives and processes sour fluids from the nearby Shah Arab Sour Gas Field. The facilities were engineered and built through the Shah Gas Development (SGD) Program.

The SGP facilities consist of onshore wells, gathering and transfer pipelines, processing plant, product pipelines and a remotely located Sulphur granulation and rail loading station to which receives utilities from the main plant. The SGP facilities are located 180 km southwest of Abu Dhabi city. Large sand dunes dominate the topography of the Shah area with elevation differences exceeding 100 m. The footprint of the processing facility covers an area of about 21 km2.

The SGP facilities were originally designed to process approximately 1,000 MMSCFD of sour gas at the inlet to the absorbers containing approximately 24% (vol.) hydrogen sulphide and 10% (vol.) carbon dioxide. The SGD facilities were originally designed to provide approximately 500 MMSCFD of clean natural gas to the Abu Dhabi domestic market while supplying 4,400 TPD of natural gas liquids, 33,000 BPD of condensate and 9,200 TPD of elemental sulphur for industrial and agricultural uses.

The Shah Plant started operations in January 2015 and reached full production capacity in July 2015 and since then higher throughputs tested.

In May 2018 COMPANY implemented some minor modifications in plant under Maximum Capacity Production Project and the plant capacity increased to 1,240 MMSCFD (124%) of sour gas feed to HP Absorber. Company executing the Optimum Shah Gas Expansion (OSGE) Project to raise the capacity to 1.45 BSCFD (145% of its original design capacity) and is currently operating at 1.45 BSCFD. COMPANY has recently completed Pre-FEED for SHAH gas 1.85 BSCFD Expansion project and CO2 recovery project (1.85 BSCFD case) through M/s Worley.

The main objectives are:

Package-1: To perform the FEED for enhancing shah gas plant capacity with minimum capital investment from current operating levels to an optimum incremental from 1.45 BSCFD to 1.85 BSCFD. The expansion includes Gas Gathering, Shah Gas Plant, Sulphur granulation, Product Pipelines and by adding new and de-bottlenecking of existing Units/ FACILITIES.

Package-2: Develop FEED Package for CO2 Recovery Project on capacity equivalent to 1.85 BSCFD including the CO2 export pipeline adequacy checks with battery limit modifications. Previously completed 2020 FEED Package for CO2 Recovery and export pipeline project (1.45 BSCFD case) can be utilized as necessary.

Package-3: Update 2020 FEED Package and PDP package for CO2 Recovery previously completed by incorporating the DESIGN NOTES issued including the CO2 export pipeline battery limit modification and corresponding update on the PDP package. Adequacy check of existing 1.45 BSCFD Utility and auxiliary systems shall be performed and FEED Level engineering to be done for revamp/ new equipment and existing 1.45 BSCFD documentation need to be updated.
